Speech & Debate

A play by Stephen Karam

Just in time to celebrate the start of spring, 4th Wall will present Speech & Debate, a play by Stephen Karam. The New York Times praised this play which premiered in October of 2007 at The Roundabout Theatre for “its picture of the borderland between late adolescence and adulthood, where grown-up ideas and ambition coexist with childish will and bravado.” The play is a dark comedy with music, and tells the story of three misfit teenagers, Howie, Solomon and Diwata, and their attempts to expose a drama teacher who preys on teen boys.

The play will run March 30, 31 at 8:00 pm and April 1 at 3:00 pm
